Pros

Wagepoint is a remote-only company, but they truly take it to the next level by letting employees work their own timezones, offering flexible time off or schedule adjustments when personal things come up, and don't force meticulous time tracking since they trust employees to get the work done. One of Wagepoint's primary value props is that customers are supported by the friendliest staff in Canadian payroll. However, this expands far beyond customer support, and is an integral part of the culture at Wagepoint. I've never been able to work with such friendly and curious individuals. You always feel like you matter and people are always willing to help. Growth is encouraged. Every company is trying to grow, and Wagepoint is no different. And with growth can come headache whether its short staff, skimped compensation or raises, being asked to do more with less, etc. Wagepoint is definitely in a growth stage, but have managed to navigate this growth in a way that doesn't burden employees with the items I've mentioned above, and instead empowers them to learn new skills, bring up fresh ideas, and collectively, work together to help grow the company. It's a very refreshing experience compared to other tech companies I've worked at.

Cons

Benefits can be a tad expensive and it'd be great to have some 401k matching for U.S.-based employees.
