Pros
You are provided a good deal of responsibility and directive on tasks- the things you do here will give you experience in your respective field and look good on a resume.
Very nice, smart, and civil group of people at the Brooklyn office.
Insight into the way festivals work and the yoga niche, if that's your thing.
Cons
Communication is a bit unorganized, you sometimes aren't sure who you can ask for help with what.
Management can sometimes brush you off, I felt many times I would try to reach out and not get a response or hand all day because everybody was too focused on the issue of the moment.
Feels a bit exclusive- if you're not a yoga or organic person (Wasn't really my background though I have no issues obviously), you might feel like a little bit of an outsider.
The most major issue that makes me rank this company low is that they take you for granted if you're an intern. I'm not sure if they changed policies since a couple of years ago, but I was only reimbursed for travel and not paid profit, which is fine but the internship is only supposed to last for a vague "few months" and I ended up there almost a year because they kept needing me and I thought it would lead to a hire. It was only after I finally asked one day that they broke the news they couldn't hire me, which felt like a slap in the face considering my hard work and that they always talk of "expanding so that job growth and promotion becomes integral" during meetings.
