Pros

It's sad to say but there aren't any positive things about the company.

Cons

One of the worst cultures I have ever seen. Just to give you an insight, people don't say hello to each other and if you say hello to them they seem to be shocked that someone is talking to them or just ignore you. And if you think it's just an issue with the welcome in the morning, I need to disappoint you: no one talks and I'm not exaggerating. The whole office is so quiet that you might get the impression that someone has died, and everyone seems to be so depressed. But actually, it’s not surprising that people are depressed in this company, since the company provides zero benefits, even though it makes millions every single year. And the shocking thing is the company doesn’t even pay sick pay, …hello, it’s the 21st century and the company is in Europe. The really sad thing is that people accept these bad working conditions. But it’s a culture of micromanagement, close monitoring, keeping people uninformed, lots of managers who have no clue about modern management. Furthermore, flexible working hours are not permitted for “cultural reasons”. To add insult to injury, one of Watchfinder’s directors (CIO) arrives in a different car almost every day, usually in his Ferrari, and roars his engine to make sure that everyone notices. To boast like this in front of all the employees is rather sickening; especially considering the company doesn’t offer any benefits (low salaries and only 20 days holiday). Please be aware that the positive reviews from March 2019 are just fake reviews, HR wanted us to say something positive about the company because Richemont wasn’t happy about Watchfinder’s poor glassdoor ratings.

Pros

Hands on experience with luxury products. Company is well connected, you can get support and it's easy to find a higher up to get assistance.

Cons

Terrible work culture. Sales are territorial (due to company bureaucracy) and at times the clients had to suffer just because somebody else wouldn't get the sale or they weren't getting commission so they wouldnt try to help close your client. You can have a client that has been loyal to the company for years, earning the company 6 figures in profit, but the moment you need a reduction of a price of £20, the company will say no. Ruining your relationship with the client for good. Discounts are only awarded by desperate managers trying to make more commission than their sales employees. If you tried to get a £10 discount approved you would be met with a hard no, but if a manager needed a discount, suddenly any figure is acceptable.

Pros

Christian supported me throughout the recruitment process, he handled everything exceptionally well, he was professional, organised, and proactive, keeping me updated at every stage and responding quickly to any questions I had. His clear and friendly communication made the whole experience smooth and stress free. Overall, I was genuinely impressed with the care and attention he provided and would happily recommend him to anyone going through recruitment with Watchfinder.

Cons

I don’t believe I have anything negative to say.
