Pros
More freedoms in lesson planning and routine than public schools. If you can get in on the leaderships good side, you won't have much to worry about. If you can maintain peace in the classroom, expect no issues. However, this year has had many MANY behavior problems.
Cons
poor leadership communication, no notice for any changes to schedules or grades, authoritarian leadership, cliques among staff If you mess up, you are not treated as an employee, you are treated as a child who deserves a belt. They do not encourage healthy workplace environments. DO NOT OFFER A DIFFERING OPINION FROM LEADERSHIP. This is treated as "disrespect". Staff was told at the beginning of the year (by the superintendent) to not share salaries with one another. This only keeps employees from receiving fair wages. This negativity set the tone for the school year.
