Pros

They pay you on time. (more on this later) Nearly every colleague is a pleasure to work with and has an excellent sense of humor. The operations team in particular were the only reason I did not quit after my 4th month. (The month I realized my contract was meaningless). They are quick to fire you. By my 4th month in the company, I had outlasted 20 people who were hired with and just after me, and 5 of the ‘old guard’ who were quitting as quickly as they could. So, if you make the mistake of choosing to work here, don’t worry, your life won’t be ruined for too long.

Cons

There are so many catastrophic red flags that it is extremely difficult to order these as they should all be number 1. They may pay you on time, but they pay you so little that any delay in payment will have you searching for the closest food banks in your area. Upper management is committed to failure. All opinions and suggestions that do not originate from their echo chamber and ignored or detrimentally de-prioritized to enact the always awful ‘greater strategic vision’. Your contract is worth less than the 20 pieces of paper its’ written on. The job description is false (no matter the position). The post probation pay rise they used to get people to sign away their future to this sham of a company did not materialize at all, for anybody. While single handedly carrying the business on my back for months, I was continuously called out publicly for mistakes I did not make as well as ones I was ordered to make. I was routinely expected to perform miracles and turn the lies upper management fed to salespeople into the truth to deliver on the promises told to clients. While trying to do this, I was often told that if I could not make it happen, my colleagues were going to lose their job. To solve this, I actively began ignoring/doing the opposite of the COO’s instructions and the business took off with sales more than doubling in under 2 months. Misinformation and inadequate/ incorrect training is continuously pumped throughout the organization. Flagging issues or making mistakes by acting on this misinformation and training will have you placed on performance review.

WeVee Response

Hi there, First and foremost, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. You’ve raised some valid points, and we want you to know that we take these comments seriously. We went through tough times at the time you worked for us and regret we had to let many amazing people go. That was a difficult time for the company and the people. We have made our best efforts to learn from this experience. A thorough training programme has been implemented for all the new employees to ensure everyone know how to succeed at WeVee. We do pay particular attention on paying our employees not only in time but also within industry standards. Our recruitment process has been enhanced to make sure all the great people who join our Company have the necessary skills and experience to excel at their job. Finally, we have been increasingly taking on board feedback from our employees through eNPS surveys, questions to the management team and an open and participative communication with our team. We appreciate your honesty and take your advice onboard. If you'd like to discuss any of these matters further, feel free to send us an email at people@WeVee.uk Best wishes, WeVee

Pros

Remote working, better basic wage than dealer environment, the people you work with on a day to day basis are great and supportive

Cons

The C suite members really let the company down. There is a severe lack of communication and organisation which is vital for a successful start up. Constant lies and over promising which leaves the team demotivated. They also refuse to spend on marketing so leads are low quality and they don’t receive the volume to make an impact. My advice to people thinking of joining the company would be to take all the negative reviews seriously, they’re spot on

Pros

The pay was good, but it's not enough to work at Wevee

Cons

This is the worst run company I have ever experienced. What I was told about the role in the interview was not accurate, and after 3 days of "training" I was given a list of years old leads and told to phone them. Leads that have been contacted multiple times by previous sales people, and who have zero chance of converting. There are absolutely no new leads, and I have no idea how WeVee is still around. There is no sales strategy, there are no internal processes, there is no focus on good customer service, and everyone is just fumbling around trying to do their best. You will be micromanaged into oblivion, and Paul Fagan will be calling you for hours every day, because I can only think he likes the sound of his own voice. The worst part of this experience is how Paul Fagan lied to my face in the interview process when I specifically asked about the high staff turnover. I was told that this person was on maternity leave, this person was on a "mental health break" etc. I even phoned the "maternity leave" employee, and he told me that it was a lie and that he had quit. His baby hadn't even been born yet. Bottom line is avoid this company like the plague and do not be tempted by the money. Also take note of the other reviews, because they are 100% accurate
