Pros

Working from home, nothing else

Cons

This work environment is toxic, expect staff to perform in a company that isn’t performing. CEO is very Jekyll and Hyde. One minute he’s your best mate the next you’re on his hit list. Don’t make the mistake of buying into their ‘dream’. It’s not going to happen.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience at WeVee. We are sorry to hear that your time with us did not meet your expectations, and we take your concerns very seriously. Firstly, we understand that the start-up environment can be challenging and is not always a perfect fit for everyone. It often involves navigating through uncertain and rapidly evolving situations, which can be stressful. However, we strive to maintain a supportive and positive work environment, so it is concerning to hear you describe it as 'toxic'. We will take immediate steps to review and address these concerns to ensure a healthy and productive workplace for all our staff. Regarding your comments about the CEO's management style, it is disappointing to learn that you felt this way. We acknowledge that leadership styles can greatly impact the work environment, and we will reflect upon your feedback to seek improvement in our leadership and communication approaches. We also take note of your scepticism towards the company's vision and direction. At WeVee, we are committed to our mission and work hard to realise our goals. We understand that in a start-up, the path to success can be challenging and not always straightforward. However, we believe in the potential of our company and the value we aim to deliver. As for your advice to management, we appreciate your candidness. Constructive criticism is vital for growth, and we will consider your perspective as part of our ongoing efforts to improve our management and operational strategies. We are genuinely sorry that your experience was not a positive one, and we wish you the best in your future endeavours. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we continue to evolve and improve our workplace culture and business practices. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.

Pros

The colleagues I worked with were fantastic, a great group group of people to say the least. Everyone had an incredible work ethic and good vibe at work. Although we all got booted out the door and treated like disposable assets.

Cons

I couldn’t talk about everything if I had all the time in the world.. 1. Not even remotely competitively priced. 2. No structure. Its like a football team with 11 defenders. Defending their ego and pride over everything else. 3. No on I’m management seems to like or talk to each other. That bodes well... 4. Toxic attitude towards hard working lovely people. 5. Liar, liar, liar. Everything from potential commission, promotion, product prices, vehicle updates, stock campaigns is a LIE. Never ever would I work here again.

Pros

They pay you on time. (more on this later) Nearly every colleague is a pleasure to work with and has an excellent sense of humor. The operations team in particular were the only reason I did not quit after my 4th month. (The month I realized my contract was meaningless). They are quick to fire you. By my 4th month in the company, I had outlasted 20 people who were hired with and just after me, and 5 of the ‘old guard’ who were quitting as quickly as they could. So, if you make the mistake of choosing to work here, don’t worry, your life won’t be ruined for too long.

Cons

There are so many catastrophic red flags that it is extremely difficult to order these as they should all be number 1. They may pay you on time, but they pay you so little that any delay in payment will have you searching for the closest food banks in your area. Upper management is committed to failure. All opinions and suggestions that do not originate from their echo chamber and ignored or detrimentally de-prioritized to enact the always awful ‘greater strategic vision’. Your contract is worth less than the 20 pieces of paper its’ written on. The job description is false (no matter the position). The post probation pay rise they used to get people to sign away their future to this sham of a company did not materialize at all, for anybody. While single handedly carrying the business on my back for months, I was continuously called out publicly for mistakes I did not make as well as ones I was ordered to make. I was routinely expected to perform miracles and turn the lies upper management fed to salespeople into the truth to deliver on the promises told to clients. While trying to do this, I was often told that if I could not make it happen, my colleagues were going to lose their job. To solve this, I actively began ignoring/doing the opposite of the COO’s instructions and the business took off with sales more than doubling in under 2 months. Misinformation and inadequate/ incorrect training is continuously pumped throughout the organization. Flagging issues or making mistakes by acting on this misinformation and training will have you placed on performance review.

Hi there, First and foremost, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. You’ve raised some valid points, and we want you to know that we take these comments seriously. We went through tough times at the time you worked for us and regret we had to let many amazing people go. That was a difficult time for the company and the people. We have made our best efforts to learn from this experience. A thorough training programme has been implemented for all the new employees to ensure everyone know how to succeed at WeVee. We do pay particular attention on paying our employees not only in time but also within industry standards. Our recruitment process has been enhanced to make sure all the great people who join our Company have the necessary skills and experience to excel at their job. Finally, we have been increasingly taking on board feedback from our employees through eNPS surveys, questions to the management team and an open and participative communication with our team. We appreciate your honesty and take your advice onboard. If you'd like to discuss any of these matters further, feel free to send us an email at people@WeVee.uk Best wishes, WeVee
