Communication from leadership can be unclear, and there’s a lack of consistent feedback. I felt that constructive feedback was often absent, and any concerns I raised were met with criticism rather than support for improvement. Work-life balance was difficult to maintain due to frequent office visits despite a remote contract. This led to additional travel costs, which were not reimbursed, even though my presence in the office was not always essential. Unfortunately, I experienced a lack of respect from management and was left feeling undervalued. This, combined with unclear expectations, contributed to an unhealthy work environment. Despite seeking advice from professional organizations, I felt that the opportunities for growth were limited. In hindsight, I believe additional mentoring or training would have helped me to succeed.
