Pros
The staff at the drug and alcohol sites, for the most part, truly care for the clients they are serving. They are overworked, under paid, and for the most part unappreciated yet they work tirelessly for the good of the clients. Many staff are in recovery themselves and are trying to give back to the community.
Cons
Excessive paperwork or documentation requirements, little to no time for breaks or lunch, huge caseloads, low pay rate, and unstable and inconsistent management. There are a few good managers but there a lot of unhealthy ones. Senior management favors certain staff above others and can be very disrespectful, manipulative, and condescending. Senior management will walk past employees without making eye contact or saying hello. Senior management will bring on friends and family and protect them regardless of poor performance or bad/entitled attitude.
