Pros
Fast, nimble, lean, growing, experienced
Cons
Small teams, slow to add support,
Pros
Weris is grounded in the value that people matter. The president treats people kindly and respectfully in professional and personal settings. He sets the tone for Weris.
Cons
Weris uses a payroll company called Insperity to manage its payroll and benefits. Also, it used to send Christmas gifts to each employee and now holds a Christmas party instead. If you like company parties, then they hold good ones. The gifts were super nice, though.
Pros
I am glad I found Weris. My manager is clear, direct, and respectful in their communication, and my coworkers (both on the team and in general) are kind and positive. From what I can see, Weris is trying to continually improve; there was an employee engagement survey in winter and they have changed policies in response to employee feedback, instead of ignoring it as my previous company did. The CEO is a leader who actually cares who you are and provides constructive criticism in a way that's designed to help you rather than make you feel like you failed. I enjoy the contract on which I'm employed and I have found there are plenty of opportunities for growth and expansion of skills. I turn off my laptop at the end of the day and there is no pressure from management to check it at all hours or on weekends. With regards to COVID-19, Weris has been extremely cautious (100% telework with no end date as of yet), which I appreciate greatly. This is not a perfect company (none are) but I'm very happy to work here.
Cons
Cannot contribute to the 401(k) until you've been employed for 6 months (wish it were immediate upon hiring) and the health benefits are acceptable but not great. There's a pretty big division between the two main offices which can be awkward.
