Pros

Global opportunities. Able to learn and grow. Progressive leadership and working hard to evolve culture of 160+ year old company.

Cons

Evolving business model to digital platforms and may create risk in legacy job roles.

Thanks so much for having been part of WU. It's true, we are in the middle of rapid change. The ability to innovate, and adjust to the needs of our customers with agility is one of the main reasons we've been able to stay in business (and be a market leader) for so long. As you alluded to, change is complicated. A strong pivot to fintech and technology means lots of opportunity for technology roles. Even internally, we are increasing the focus on technology to help all employees collaborate and leverage powerful tools to get work done. As the mix of work at WU changes, continual learning will help all of us be ready to meet the needs of our customers now, and in the future.

Pros

Western Union was a great place to grow if you are motivated. The company wants to do well and generally efforts are well focused.

Cons

Lots of turnover that hurts a company that does write it's how to do things down. Challenging market that takes market share consistently.
