Pros
- genuine coworkers who care about what they're doing
- billed as remote-first
- flexible scheduling
Cons
- entirely disorganized mess under the hood
- leadership has absolutely no idea what they're doing and have created a demand-driven culture where only results matter and time and process are non-existent concerns
- I mentioned remote-first as a pro, but apparently the moment you aren't able to meet your coworkers or attend an event, even with legitimate reasons, you are no longer seen as a real team member
- middle management does not know how to manage their direct reports
- the organization is split between a few countries, and they've been that way since the early days. you would think that would mean they would know how to work across timezones and sync/async properly, but that's far from the truth. I had even asked members of the people team about this and they also expressed the same concerns.
- at least in my experience, there was no real onboarding and no a available documentation to help learn about the company/product teams. it made for a very uncomfortable experience.
- pay scale is way lower than expected especially in the US
