Pros

The assistant payroll manager and other payroll specialists were great to work with. Not really any other pros.

Cons

1.) They will fire you for no reason just before 90 days and tell you "you did not fit in with our group" - I wasn't aware I was back in high school. What instantly came to mind was that scene from mean girls where they say " you cant sit with us". Yet, the entire time I was complimented on my work and how I caught on quickly, and I was told many times by the other employees in my department that I fit in with them great. 2.) They absolutely pick favorites. It is very clear who the payroll manager likes and dislikes. 3.) They do payroll like they did in 1982 and have the most rhetorical processes I have ever experienced. If you like to push paper and check everything 3 times and not be productive and progressive at work, this is the place for you. 4.) No one will interact with you for the first week of working there - they will not even respond when you try to introduce yourself. 5.) Miserable environment - everyone looks so miserable and depressed. 6.) Feels like jail. Scheduled lunches and they do not allow you to take time off. 7.) Most inflexible environment. I requested two days off over THREE MONTHS in advance and it was not approved. 8.) My 'manager' barely interacted with me nor trained me, the other employees had to do it. Terrible manager. Should take some leadership classes. 9.) If you haven't worked there a long time, you're on the chopping block. 10.) They like to hire people that are not free thinkers and who are submissive to how they do things "the Wilson way". 11.) NO opportunity for advancement. There is NONE. Don't let them fool you. My recommendation is to not even waste your time. I left a job of over five years to work for Wilson Construction to then be let go after 2.5 months, and not even be given a good reason. Incredibly poorly ran company, disorganized and unprogressive, don't care about their employees, very inflexible. I would run away if you see a job posting from them.

Pros

Great family environment, co-workers are great. Union benefits were a good perk. You could tell the owner truly appreciated those who worked for his company.

Cons

While our department wasn't AS bad, Leadership as a whole is very micro-managey makes for a pretty toxic environment at times. There isn't much room to grow.
