The recent RTO mandate to the Boston Corporate office employees from 3 days a week to 4 days a week has revealed from leadership and appears to be coming only from the CEO and supported by few else in leadership.
It was stated that the RTO was partially due to equity because staff working at properties must work on site 5 days a week. While this is true, their jobs are fundamentally different from corporate positions.
Secondly, for years, corporate employees at the Lowell office have quietly been able to remain in the office only 1 day per week. Even with this most recent call to RTO they are only returning 3 days per week not 4.
Equity is about raising all boats and providing equal access to benefits, not bringing everyone down to the same level.
