Pros
Wisetail is a young, growing company that is about as good of a place as you could imagine working for in Bozeman (or anywhere for that matter I suppose). The people are all young, smart, driven, and ready to take the company to the next level. The wellness program is top notch (Free beer for running? Yes please!) and the overall culture of work hard/play hard is pervasive and fun to be a part of. As far as places to work in tech in Montana go, this company is tough to beat. Most importantly though, for a software company, it values people more than anything else. Which, personally, is what made the company attractive to work for in the first place. The intentional focus on creating a hospitality centered company keeps every day fresh for employees, the clients engaged and happy, and the product improving each day. Wisetail offers a unique business model in an LMS field devoid of fresh business models.
Cons
There isn't too much to complain about, but I think the one aspect I would love to see happen (especially since most employees are in their 20's and 30's and have time to take advantage of it) is a retirement program of some sort. The health benefits are very good, as are the wellness programs, but it would take the benefits package to the next level if a 401(k) match or something like it was offered. Also, as a small company the vertical opportunity for advancement is currently fairly limited, but as Wisetail grows I would anticipate seeing opportunities in newly created positions open up chances to advance.
