Pros

- You are thrown into very challenging work very quickly and can gain great experience in less than a year. - You have access to information such as Facebook Ads numbers and Google Analytics, which is great if you are interested in continuing in media. - CEO can teach you a lot. - The domain sounds impressive.

Cons

- HIGH turnover; completely new company YoY multiple years in a row. - CEO hires young, inexperienced workers who she can pay very little. You will learn a lot here, but there are not a lot of mentors for you to learn from. Nearly everyone is right out of college. - CEO tries to sell you on a dream... don't drink the kool-aid. Get in, get your experience, and move on.

Pros

I loved the pacing of the work and the freedom to make my own decisions about content. I learned a lot about the basics of digital strategy that helped propel my career.

Cons

The company is a bit hands-off in its leadership style, so having self-motivation is definitely neccessary.

Pros

Eventually, you quit or get fired and then you don't have to deal with the CEO and her psychosis anymore.

Cons

Everything, from the compensation to the formulaic and outdated ideas about what a women's media company should be. The CEO is cruel, and just does whatever her husband tells her to do. She lies and prefers to rule with terror rather than by actually encouraging growth or positivity. Has some pretty ridiculous ideas about "being a startup" and "running a tech company" while simply making money off display advertising and SEO scams. Crazy high turnover rate. No one to learn from. Ridiculously slow to innovate or do anything interesting. Sells you on some dumb vision and then wants you to make quizzes to game FB audiences into making click revenue.
