Pros
Somewhat higher salary compared to other universities but with a much higher workload.
Cons
- Quality of education not important to upper management. Pleasing students takes priority. Content classes often expected to be oversimplified so students can easily pass. - Professors pressured into teaching courses they are not qualified to teach, thus saving the university money by not having to hire professionals with appropriate backgrounds - HR recognizes only a tiny fraction of achievements (book publishing, course creation, etc.) by professors. - HR refuses to give any feedback for improvement from its evaluations. - Administration micromanages and is punitive instead of constructive in its approach to problem solving. - Administration is not interested in addressing student concerns about quality of education, only about collecting tuition. - Many students are used to perform administrative tasks (unpaid) in lieu of their courses.
