Pros
- The values Wunder professes regularly show up at work. - Wunder really cares about employees from the top down. I have always gotten the sense that leadership has thought deeply about how to have highly motivated, competent and effective people. The solution seems to be, treat people with respect, trust employees to manage their own work, pay people above industry average for their job, regularly give feedback, and encourage everyone to continuously improve at their job. - Engineers are given a lot of responsibility to manage their own work and solve problems. "Driver drives" is a value that the team regularly uses in our day to day engineering work. - The product and engineering team is great. Filled with talented and kind people who are awesome to work with. The rest of the team is also awesome to work with. - Every success at Wunder means more solar panels on more rooftops
Cons
- It can be a bit intimidating starting work at Wunder. There is a lot of domain complexity and many new concepts will be thrown at you right away. - Some of the regular issues with start-ups, things move fast, priorities sometimes will change from week to week. - From an engineering perspective, if you just want to pull tickets and do exactly whats on the card, Wunder might not be the best fit. - The team is pretty small and lacks substantial diversity (although I feel confident this will change in the next year).
