Work-life balance. Fun co-workers. Filler line 3. Filler line 4. Filler line 5.
Cons
Consistent layoffs – no transparency when done. People are just deactivated and gone. The worst was when two brand-new back-from-maternity leave mothers were riffed. Forced return to office — made it so other departments complain when cross-departmental team members don't adhere or have extenuating circumstances that hinder them from coming in 3x/week. Again, this has brought down company culture. Consistent missed sales targets — in fact, the company never hit its quarterly revenue numbers during my time there. No career growth opportunities (unless you're in Sales which makes no sense when numbers never get hit). No team-bonding opportunities — never had a full team offsite or was given the opportunity to join in team travel. Compensation increases YoY are delegated as a pool to all team members — this means my performance was not a factor and rather whether or not my teammate received an increase did. I have never in my career had this be the case. So out of 100 to our team, 1-2 people can get that allocated bonus and the rest get nothing. HR doesn't have your back. Marketing direction seems to be "do whatever competitors are doing."
