Pros

Car Park. Free fruit and snacks.

Cons

Here are just a few. Xigen has a small agency mentally, who doesn't allow staff to express their talents and skills - without being micromanaged within an inch of their lives. Their mantra is "This is not how we do things here." Short reactive task-based work - which feels like working on a production line.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, we’re sorry to hear that this was your experience of working at Xigen. We’re always looking for ways to improve and actively ask our staff to provide anonymous feedback on both Management and our processes through 360 feedback forms, which we will continue to encourage and take action on. As a smaller agency we do ask that our team are flexible in the work they are assigned; but are continuously looking for ways to bring on exciting new projects that play to our teams’ talents. We are working hard on this and our new sales and marketing team have already secured some really exciting new projects that we know the team are going to love working on. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts with us, we value all feedback and will take your comments on board to help us work towards becoming an even better company to be a part of!

Pros

First class creativity and digital nous with some serious web dev talent. Felt supported although did have to work long hours sometimes just like any other job.

Cons

Never felt I really fitted in but that's not necessarily a reflection of Xigen, it could be a case of 'It's not you, it's me'.

Pros

Free snacks in the office and monthly care packages.

Cons

I had high hopes when I first started working here, but my experience quickly turned sour due to their archaic and highly controlling design team manager micromanaging every aspect of the work, down to the tiniest, most insignificant detail. Creativity and innovation were stifled and any attempt to introduce modern design trends or fresh ideas was immediately shut down. It felt like working in the past, with rigid processes that were more about control than collaboration. Instead of empowering the team, management would hover over every task, constantly changing things for the sake of asserting dominance, rather than trusting the team’s expertise. This resulted in unnecessary revisions and a work environment that was more about pleasing one person’s outdated vision than delivering high-quality results for clients. In addition, there are no opportunities for career growth, with employees being significantly underpaid and receiving little to no recognition or appreciation for their contributions. Overall, if you're looking for a forward-thinking, collaborative agency, I would recommend steering clear of this one. The toxic micromanagement culture makes it nearly impossible to get anything done efficiently or creatively.
