Pros

Organization - As a PM in Yondu, I was able to work with more than 10 cross-functional teams, which enabled me to broaden my exposure to relevant people needed to deliver tech (software and infra) projects - PMO department is in place which guides the PM on their project methodologies, processes and tools used - Delivery Excellence group (sort of the Program Management team) ensures that the entire organization adheres to industry-standard processes and best practices Projects - Exposure on different project complexities (small to big software projects) - Able to work with different industries with its diverse clientele portfolio - Both Waterfall and Agile methodologies are applied to projects (depending on its nature, of course) - End-to-end process for project delivery is well-defined and adhered to, including the turnover of some projects to Operations

Cons

Nothing much during my time as I really enjoyed my stay and experience there. These cons are still stuck in my head though (mostly on the BD side as projects are all turned over to PMO team and all we need to do is basically fulfill the requirements from the proposal): - Business Development teams would often underestimate project scope, thus proposing a very tight and limited budget to the client. - Proposed solutions (through workflow automation, process improvements) to clients can be improved.

Pros

- Most projects being develop in Yondu are from scratch. - They have a lot of random perks for their employees ex. meriendas after payday, gaming consoles, etc. - You will be exposed to different kinds of technologies. - Office seems nice and well designed. - People are friendly and approchable.

Cons

- You are a project-based employee and being promoted to a regular position is a joke. Believe me. - Appraisal is also a joke too. - Work/Life Balance? Meh. - Their processes are not effective and sometimes violate some of the rules they set especially in developing a project. - High attrition rating. - There are so much politics in the office. - At this point, you should consider looking for another opportunity beside this company. Promise.

We apologize for this late response but we want to thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We regret to know that your experience with Yondu did not match our intention to make it the better, if not the best place you have ever worked. We are taking your feedback and addressing all the places we missed in delivering not just quality work outputs but also positive employee experience for every YONDUde who had considered Yondu as their career ground. As a result of all your valuable feedback: 1. We have strengthened our performance appraisal process through formal bi-annual checkpoint with a 1-on-1 discussion with immediate supervisor and employee to discuss their performance and development needs. 2. Our project processes hits and misses are now supplemented and addressed respectively through a number of training sessions on project management, Agile (SCRUM Methodology) training, DevCon and process enhancement through employing principles of compliance and information security. 3. Regularization at Yondu is a serious and critical process. We take into account not just performance indicators but also feedback from internal and external clients and behavioral indicators that would make one deserve the spot. 4. Our high attrition rating is attributed to only 2 major factors, resource absorption by client (with our staff augmentation) and the need to increase professional value through job exposure with another industry/company. 5. Work-life balance is essential but we would like to clarify that it can also be isolated and subjective depending on scope. We hold, with high esteem, the well-being of our employees, and we are addressing this issue through concrete manpower review and resource allocation. 6. Office politics can be perceived in different ways by different factors - decision-making, authority, level of opportunities and empowerment. Where do we stand? Just mainly being humane...and that makes us subject to human errors. I hope the above helps you regain that little YONDUde feel in you. Thank you so much!
