Pros

Going into this business I did not have professional sales and leadership skills. I was told that I would be trained to do so through a mentor ship style training. Which is what I received. This is a high energy, fast-paced culture that promotes hard work.

Cons

Being such a competitive business, individuals need self-motivation to learn and grasp new concepts quickly to stay ahead of the curve amongst peers.

Pros

You may learn how to dress nice, the boss was cool. If you want to sacrifice a year of your life you can make good money. Learn sales skills.

Cons

You wear a suit and tie to go sell Xfinity at a Best Buy or Walmart. They describe the job as event marketing and show you pictures of the employees selling xfinity at cool events ( seemed decent enough). In reality those events are very few and far between. They have you in at the crack of dawn and pressure you to go out drinking with them, while you are making a less than desirable wage or just full commission. The people who have worked for them for a couple of months seemed brainwashed, and deserve a medal for sticking with it. You will stand on your feet for at least seven hours of the day. To move up in the company you will have to straight face lie to kids coming out of college, making them think they got a real job. Said you had to work Saturdays to move up in the company (working over 50 hours a week with no overtime). Honestly an insult to anyone with a college degree.
