Pros

You get free yogurt during your shift (depending on how lenient your management is), and you can even take home a whole large cup of yogurt at the end of the night since it's being drained in the morning. It's fun when you get to work with your work best friend until management wants you separated lol.

Cons

This establishment is based on bias and favoritism. People always steal the tip jar when you go to the back of the house, and it's difficult to argue with customers about why you can't accept bills larger than $20. Because we were constantly monitored by cameras and micromanaged at the yogurtland where I worked, turnover was very high. People would occasionally just grab money from the tip jar to pay for their yogurt when they couldn't afford it, and you weren't allowed to say anything. Once it was known that we were all paid differently, management had a meltdown because we were talking about it despite having been specifically told not to. Since night shifts were the worst, everyone who worked at this place would compete to secure morning shifts. At my location, we had cockroaches.  You would be promoted to shift leader based solely on how long you had been employed there rather than how well you performed as a leader. They don't offer benefits and it's minimum wage.

Pros

-- chill (literally) -- clear expectations -- straight-forward duties -- good entry-level food industry gig -- you'll never get sick of the froyo (ALL THE FREE SAMPLES YOU WANT) -- at least at my location, they actually cared about and helped out our immigrant coworkers!!! that was GREAT.

Cons

-- no cash tips (shortly after I started, they took away cash tips and instead gave us a Yogurtland giftcard with a quarter on it for every hour we worked......................................... yup) -- for doing such a great job, my manager "pulled some strings" and got me a 10 cent raise........................................ yup. -- no upward mobility, unless your ultimate goal is to take on the added responsibility of a shiftlead for 50 cents more an hour. -- customers are nasty. people are nasty. -- some upper management was shady.... likely region specific, but our district people did not keep their "indiscretions" sufficiently on the DL.
