Pros

The individuals there are great people. The location is good since it isn't too central but close to Shinagawa. Not a suits-required place. Technically counts as a games company so you can get your industry experience.

Cons

The expected overtime is ridiculous. If you don't work overtime the management tells you that you aren't committed. If you work overtime you are still hugely underappreciated. The salary is stupidly low. A lot of what they promise in the interviews (bonuses, raises, game nights) are just pretty words. No help towards rent or company housing. No yearly performance review. No company parties or nights out. Everything you send on the company chat is monitored. Voicing your opinion is highly frowned upon. Unethical advertising of their games. There is a general feeling of "if I do this I might get fired", even regarding simple matters. Everyone feels on edge.

Pros

Friendly people. Communication was good despite time difference. (Most of the team in Japan)

Cons

More of a situational con: Large time zone differences did require patience for responses to inquiries.

Pros

Talented coworkers. Management is English-speaking; good if your Japanese is lacking.

Cons

The rest is all cons. They're bleeding talent like mad because they mistreat their employees, expect them to work unreasonable hours, and don't care about anything but lining their own pockets at the end of the day. I'm also pretty sure a lot of what they do is, if not downright illegal, then at the very least extremely shady. Falsely advertising your game as a Pokemon-like horror RPG/otome game/dating sim when it's your run-of-the-mill gacha game? Putting pornographic content into a T-rated game? Lying about the upcoming content of the game to pacify players who are thinking of quitting? We have to deal with a lot of hate from a playerbase that is understandably angry, and they don't care one bit. I started off with pride in what I did, and they successfully eroded that entirely. Don't work for these people unless conning unsuspecting players for a man who can't go two sentences without swearing is your idea of a good time.
