Pros

Everyone below the vp level are amazing to work with. Tons of opportunities to meet customers from various industries.

Cons

Company Cons: This company has completely gone down in terms of work quality since the acquisition by MDP. Work life balance has completely plummeted as there is more pressure to increase margin, which is expected from a PE firm. Additionally, the turnover rate has been horrendous since the acquisition furthermore exacerbating the poor work life balance. The company is split into two teams. Those from the VP level up and everyone else; because of this there is little insight into which the direction MDP is pushing the company further leading to frustrations. Data science cons: As a scientist, no real data science is taking place here. Everything has been boxed up and put into “packages” that spits out numbers to tell if a model is good or bad. The science vp leadership is heavily focused on product development and the director is too busy working on projects to cover for already over worked teams so no real direction comes from them. Honestly there really isn’t a place to grow as an IC in data science. Overall: Frustration from the customer and employee side are mounting as new faces have to be brought on a project due to poor retention. Bugs are also significant and occur on a weekly basis for multiple customers. Benefits are no where near industry. 2 week maternity leave which is just enough recovery time for birthing parents and get back to work. No stock options and healthcare is expensive. Bonus is nice

Thank you for your feedback. We recognize that the Science team has recently experienced some attrition, and that has impacted workloads for the current team. A few things that we’re doing to address this: - We are building career paths to clarify roles and responsibilities and create various pathways for internal advancement. This will cover all levels of the organization, so everyone has a clear view of expectations and focus areas. - We are holding feedback sessions with the Science team to better understand what's working and what is not so that we can appropriately incorporate their feedback. - Our goal is to further productize our approach so that customers have consistent experiences while continuing to evolve roles to ensure challenging, rewarding work, and career opportunities. While we are naturally in a transitional period as a result of the MDP acquisition, customer success remains a top priority and core tenant of Zilliant’s culture. Additionally, under MDP’s leadership, we are proud to be able to significantly expand our employee benefits program, including a recently announced 12 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers (and 4 weeks for secondary caregivers). We are also evaluating the rest of our benefits to ensure that our offering is not only competitive but appreciated and attractive to current and future employees.

Pros

- New product vision and strategy that builds on history of artificial intelligence and solving specific use cases - Incredible culture of collaboration and kind people who like to solve problems - Huge vision for growth that challenges the status quo and is willing to take risks and make mistakes - Remote first environment allows for flexibility - So many things are changing and opportunities for growth. If you can figure out a solution you can go after it which is a career trajectory changing opportunity.

Cons

- There has been a lot of change in the transformation and periods where it has been unclear of the path. Uncertainty and fast paced environment isnt for everyone. - Remote first environment is a pro but can be a challenge when driving change because things can get lost in translation

Pros

-Monthly Zen day -Solid benefits and Parental leave -Co-workers are genuinely good, smart people

Cons

-I would advise not working here unless you are desperate and need a paycheck. The product isn’t good; Sales hasn't closed any new business in months. The PE board has made a series of poor decisions that negatively impact the GTM team. Marketing has zero direction, and the list goes on. -Burnout across the board due to the constant changing of priorities and initiatives. -Sales and Marketing are not aligned in any way, shape, or form. Marketing wants to push the new product, while sales wants to continue selling the legacy product to hit their number. -CRM is a hot mess due to the constant revolving door of operations folks who are either completely undoing what the previous regime did (for better or worse) or fixing an issue the previous regime caused. -Sales leadership doesn’t hold anyone accountable. -Marketing tries a million different strategies and initiatives, but nothing sticks and nothing works at all. -Leadership pushes vanity metrics and numbers to build fake narratives and mask root-cause issues.
