Pros

A great place to work with fun events, supportive people, and strong community involvement.

Cons

Work-life balance is generally good, though there are occasionally busier periods. The team works together to manage workloads and support one another when things pick up.

Pros

Opportunities for philanthropic events are welcome, no corporate overhead so a lot of policies and procedures are built out within departments. There are a lot of learning opportunities as well!

Cons

Leadership often makes policy changes with no follow through. One example is offering flex PTO and using this to entice prospective candidates only to walk it back and maintain a limited pool of PTO (12 days with no rollover). Salaried positions come with bonuses that will be revoked if your department is low on revenue, and with a low market rate this puts the livelihood of employees in jeopardy. It was regularly said by staff that if their spouses/partners did not make as much as they did, they would not be able to work at this employer. Freedom is conditional, if you are performing or seem busy you’re given a lot of it but if you are too productive they will overfill your plate without additional compensation. No merit increases, you will need to ask for a raise every time. There is little accountability for people in positions of power, for example the leader’s family is part of leadership so they’re insulated from any criticism and can easily ice people out based on feeling. AI use is prevalent and expected. When a company is this urgent about generating revenue, it’s a red flag.
