Pros

The people in the Portland office are really great, lunch is provided occasionally, and it's better not being at the home office.

Cons

Many of the problems can be traced back to the owner. The company is constantly shifting direction based on the changing mind of the owner and once he makes a decision he demands things change immediately regardless of how practical it is. The result is initiatives either don't get fully implemented or they are done sub-par. Nothing seems to get executed well. In all honesty, Zones is not well respected in the industry. The comp plan has changed twice this year. When the year started, no one knew what it was going to be. Goals were delayed but went into effect retroactively. It seems that nothing is done on time. The 401k contribution is well below average. Pay is well below average. You don't get vacation your first year and then you can only earn a max of two weeks. The health plan is below average. The company is unable to hire people to keep up with the number of people that are leaving.

Pros

Work from home is a perk for most. Some ability to travel and attend events with clients and prospects.

Cons

Where do I begin? If you really need a job, I get it but would not recommend it! So many issues- toxic culture, very siloed even within sales organization, leadership not to be trusted. Penny pinching on sales commissions and unrealistic sales goals.
