Pros

Learning about lots of different species. How to care for them, handle them and about their native habitats. The team at Zovargo are also all very supportive and caring. They care and put much time and effort into the people and animals that support the mission.

Cons

You have to be dedicated to learning about the animals. Being a good educator is not just being a good speaker. You have to truly know about the animals we're working with! Much information and training is provided but it does help to independently study up on some of the animals too!

Pros

Through this internship at Zovargo you not only learn presentation, public speaking, and animal handling skills, you also get to connect an entire community of people to animals and the wildlife that surrounds us. The Zovargo team is very tight knit, making it extremely supportive and providing interns with constant growth in all aspects of the job.

Cons

Being a Zovargo intern means having the flexibility of going to programs and events whenever one is booked. This means there is no set schedule, and that it is entirely up to the intern to commit however much time and effort into the internship as they want to get out of it. With that, there are many opportunities to go above and beyond, but only if the intern is motivated and enthusiastic to do so.
