Pros

The eBay name will look good on a resume, there are professional organizations you can join for networking and workshops/seminars you can attend for professional development, free gym and shuttle rides. Easy commute if you live in the south bay. Salaries are competitive. If you are proactive and take initiative and have a manager that cares about your development, you can move up (but usually takes at least 1 year before you can change roles/title)

Cons

Too many layers in the hierarchy, male dominated, teams often work in silos and don't know what else is going on outside their area, not all employees are knowledgeable about product offerings and it's hard to know who to go to if you have questions/comments/suggestions. Lots of internal politics. Doesn't seem to be very innovative compared to competitors and change takes a long time to come about.

Pros

Good work, lots of AI experiments, AI innovation, latest tech stack, Co-workers are very co-operative and helpful. Most AI tools are still unlimited.

Cons

Some teams are over-working due to smaller teams as a result of recent layoffs. Office perks (like catered food, snacks) are dwindling every quarter even though company wants every employee to be 3 days a week in office. Company wants 80 percent code to be generated by AI but no clear guideline how to achieve that.
