Pros

The people & opportunities during my time were amazing. The art space attracts a lot of creative and passionate people that really care about their work and the iCanvas product. Turnover was rarely a problem and the people that stayed longer than a year, really belonged there and made that place special. iCanvas had been fast-growing and outpacing the majority of competition for the duration of my stay. In marketing especially, it was never a dull moment, affording lots of opportunities to do marketing research, campaign experiments, and constantly expand the team into new areas of specialty.

Cons

With more people working from home, the office environment doesn’t offer that same level of connecting & creative inspiration.

Pros

Lots of kind, creative, & intelligent co-workers contribute to an interesting office culture. If you’re outgoing & crave a work ‘family’ then you won’t be disappointed. Conversely, if you’re proudly (stubbornly even) introverted, then you’ll be left alone for the most part. That’s what’s so cool about this place, the laid back approach to getting things done...

Cons

...which can be not so cool as well. I’m probably just old-fashioned, so feel free to take what I’m saying with some grain or other, but I like to know that someone I depend on to get my work done each day will be there & at a reasonable time, which, given the lack of set work hours, rarely happens. Cool, right? Meh.

Pros

Work load was not stressful, An employee discount

Cons

Rampant Nepotism and Favoritism from management. Management would retaliate when i brought concerns to HR. Management will try an gaslight employees with raises (only employees that got substantial raises/bonus' where those related/ good friends with management. Does not pay anywhere near market rates. Management will promise reimbursement for expenses but then will drag their feet in repayment (6 months) while lecturing employees about "being better with their money" (avoid paying out of pocket, company has it's own CC just to cheap to use it). Claims they are hybrid, however only certain employees can WFH

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your negative experience at iCanvas and would like to address some of the points you raised, as they do not reflect the facts of our workplace practices. Nepotism and Favoritism: Last year, we promoted five individuals based on their contributions and performance, including both long-term and newer employees. Each promotion was earned and not based on favoritism. HR Concerns and Retaliation: We take claims of retaliation seriously and investigate all reported concerns. There is no record of any employee facing retaliation after contacting HR. Expense Reimbursement: All expense reports are processed within the same month they are submitted. We have no record of reimbursement delays. Any issues regarding expenses should have been brought to HR's attention. Hybrid Work Environment: Our policy is Office from Monday to Wednesday and work from home on Thursday and Friday. We also accommodate employees with personal reasons for working from home full time. There are certain roles that require in-office presence due to the nature of the job. We value all feedback and are committed to continuous improvement.
