Pros

The people individually are lovely and generally really easy to get along with The level of work is good and interesting enough, workload is manageable Promising company product-wise, and are ambitious

Cons

If various people within the company call it similar to being in a cult believe them Glorify overtime like a badge of honour, no problem with working overtime myself just very odd Promotes a culture of inclusivity and individualism, but has a sense of doing things their way, which you have to read between the lines to understand, i.e. hidden pitfalls

Thank you for your review and for recognising the people, the product, and the ambition. I would like to address the “pinch of salt” comment directly, because it reads less like feedback and more like a deliberate attempt to undermine the integrity of what many colleagues have worked very hard to build together, here at iplicit. We encourage people to leave honest Glassdoor reviews so prospective hires can make an informed choice. Reviews are anonymous and the content is always the reviewer’s. We do not “manufacture” sentiment, and indeed you will know that we proactively ask employees to include the negative aspects within their review, to ensure that candidates aren’t ‘seduced’ by our Fast Growth and Best Employer awards - because working here is hard and if prospective candidates are seeking an easy ride, or a place where they can be in the shadows rather than radically accountable, we want them to know that iplicit won’t be fun for them. We were recently ranked top 5 in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work in the U.K. out of 10’s of thousands of entrants. This accolade is based on feedback from an anonymous, company wide survey of almost 200 staff , and it reflects the lived experience of the wider team, not a small number of voices and certainly not leadership spin. If iplicit feels like a cause, it’s because it is! We are driven, we care, and we are building a business that aims to become a UK software unicorn with staff happiness and customer satisfaction at its core. If that mission and pace energises you, you will thrive here. If it doesn’t, it will feel uncomfortable. That doesn’t make the culture a cult though, it just means the environment was not the right fit for you. When there is such a wide gap between one person’s conclusion and the consistent feedback of the broader team, it is reasonable to assume the issue was fit, not integrity. As I know you will have heard from me directly - there are certainly easier places to work, but the gang we’ve assembled here loves what we’ve created, together. I genuinely wish you every success in finding a role that matches what you are looking for. Lyndon Stickley, CEO

Pros

Supportive colleagues and strong relationships across many teams. Opportunity to gain exposure to different areas of the business. Fast-paced environment where employees are encouraged to take ownership. Good learning experience for those looking to develop commercial skills in a scaling software company.

Cons

The reality of some roles may differ significantly from the position presented during the recruitment process. Expectations, KPIs and targets are high, but supporting resources, tools and processes do not always evolve at the same pace. Management communication can lack transparency and consistency, making it difficult for employees to understand priorities and expectations. Concerns raised by employees are not always addressed in a meaningful or visible way. There can be significant differences in management style and expectations across teams, resulting in an inconsistent employee experience. Accountability is not always applied consistently across the organisation. Workplace behaviours that negatively impact team culture are not always challenged or addressed. The culture places a strong emphasis on positivity and alignment, which may make it difficult for employees to openly challenge decisions or raise concerns. Frequent changes in direction can create uncertainty and make long-term planning difficult.

Pros

Onboarding is very well rounded, it teaches you everything you need to know to be successful as an SDR, from outreach methods, ICP's, lines of questioning and product knowledge. Everybody at iplicit is available to help, you're encouraged to be curious and ask questions. Support is available round every corner and colleagues are happy to help. There is a good tech stack in place, it allows you to have comprehensive information about why you are reaching out to people. As someone who comes from a more manual "dial from your phone" background the systems in place offer great automation, efficiency and feedback opportunities. Colleagues have been extremely welcoming, they are happy to have a chat to get to know you and this is especially great considering the remote work. There are systems in place like Coffee Roulette which give you ample opportunity to meet people outside of your immediate team. Progression opportunities, expectations and KPI's/targets/commission were made clear both during the interview process and onboarding. There have been a lot of sessions to help SDR's get to know each other's different styles better, what we individually see is working and the opportunity to share success stories to better your own work. Also, we've had sessions from senior leadership covering company updates, learning sessions outside of your role (eg. AI) and general coaching. iplicit's awards as fastest Overall, this is a fast paced role and you need to be able to pick things up quickly, but it is important to mention that you won't feel left behind as there is a strong, supportive culture behind you and everybody wants to see you win.
