Pros

None, seriously none. But for reals.

Cons

I was very skeptical of joining because of the reviews here. When I discussed my concerns about these reviews with the CEO prior to joining he said Glassdoor was BS and that the reviews "were all from a former employee with aspergers." Now that I worked there, I can tell you that the previous reviews are true and accurate, and not by same person as n.io says in their replies (and will probably say the same with this review). Go to their Youtube channel, watch the videos and s how may faces you will not see in the office during your review. You can always tell if a company cares about good teams by how thy interview. Notice that you will never meet with anyone from your team during your interview. This is because n.io just wants worker bees that they can dispose of at will. My first all hands Friday meeting the CEO complained about people using vacation time, and that this was a startup and you should be happy to work here. He said there were concerns about starting the company in Colorado because people here have a mixed work-life balance. The company claims they are transparent, so before you sign ask for the previous videos from the Friday meetings... they record them all. In reality maybe it's hard for them to find good engineers because people see though the facade they put on, and they opened on office in North West BF Broomfield. The founding members come from Deloitte, which is why they have zero ideas on how to start a successful company. They are basically doing the same thing, get employees, work them, get large contracts, make money, don't care about work/life balance or really anything but "n.io". All this said, just be careful. This is your career. You deserve better.

We would encourage anyone who has questions about the team or the company to reach out directly to us via email or social media. Ask us anything! Our team members are easy to find as we all proudly associate with n.io in our profiles. In regards to this review, the glassdoor platform allows anonymity for individuals who were terminated for cause. This person was dishonest and tried to blame another team member. Those are not things our team is willing to tolerate in our close-knit organization where trust and teamwork are two of our core values.

Pros

I love working alongside smart, approachable, friendly people. The culture pushes you to be the best you can be and deliver quality results. The technology is groundbreaking and has real potential to change the world. One of the better environments I've worked in in the past couple of years. I have been working at n.io for just over a year, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Cons

If you're looking for a strict 9-5 job, this may not be the place for you. We have passionate employees who believe in the vision for the future of n.io and will put in extra time or effort to finish their tasks. As startups go, just because you're hired in one area does not mean you won't be helping out in other areas. This can be a lot of fun and a great learning experience, but also may not be for everyone.

Pros

What the reviews say about it being a dynamic, fun environment are true. You are given a lot of license to explore solutions to problems.

Cons

First a few: - the technology isn't all that revolutionary. To summarize it: they are trying to write a programming language. Many of the problems they are solving could be solved much better by developing a few awesome python, golang, etc modules and writing code in one of those well developed dynamic(ish) languages. - the management is terrible Now, onto the main con: n.io management is lying to you already! All (or almost all) of the positive reviews posted here are probably fake. Nobody that I ever worked with felt the way that the reviews say. Note the similarity of the reviews writing style, the fact that they were posted within a few months of each other, and the fact that they basically read like an add for a job. In particular, the following statements are the complete opposite of my time there: - The open door policy really feels "open door." - Questions and concerns don't go unheard. I mean, just read this and try to take it seriously: "Some of the most intelligent, driven, and hardworking people I know. Not to mention funny and kind-hearted, even during chaotic moments" Sure, there are people like that at a company... But everyone? No, this review is a fake, and so are (most) of the others.
