Pros

- Very good product, talented pre-sales, support and development team - Good place to learn, IdM, AD, Cloud and on-premises IdM strategies - Use it as a stepping stone to bigger, more established IdM firms like Oracle IdM, Okta, Courion and Sailpoint - Employees are truly passionate toward technology and solving problems - Workplace attitude can be easily improved with more open communication. C-Suite is very talented just need to smooth out the rough edges - EmpowerID can fix or change product quickly for unique customer situations - IdM solution is quickly implemented, stable and scalable - IdM solution is used by Fortune 1000 companies all over the globe

Cons

- C-Suite challenges have led to high turnover the last year. They have stayed around 25-30 employees the last 2 years; where their peers have had strong growth sales, growth and employees - EmpowerID has problems with market share and awareness compared to Sailpoint, Okta, Courion - Problems with establishing consulting partners/VARs compared to their industry peers - EmpowerID has challenges with confidentiality when employees voice HR concerns - C-Suite should look for training in Emotional Quotient intelligence or 360 peer review training - Viewed as a niche player in the industry

Potentially great product, if management would get out of their own way

Pros

- Flexible shifts - Casual dress code - Interesting product/niche in industry - Most co-workers talented and good to work with

Cons

- Lack of communication on company's direction and management's expectations - Single manager over too many departments, unable to effectively manage any of them - Product is massive and not geared toward user-friendliness - Enhancements are released extremely quickly after being developed - Employee turnover is very high - Office is a dark, dirty building with cramped working areas, with a few employees working in a warehouse/garage office - No clear directives from management in regards to training, expectations, etc. - No employee support. The majority of employee issues are with management, yet there is no open door policy without repercussions. - Employees are treated as resources, instead of teammates and are not allowed to exercise their experience when it comes to managing their day-to-day. - Large bottleneck between sales to development/integration to support. Too many sales in the pipeline to be able to effectively provide the necessary development/implementation/training/support. - Quite a bit of wasted talent all around, as management always seems to know best instead of listening to employee input and concerns. - No centralized customer/prospect database. Too many unconnected systems being used by each department for tracking - SDLC process completely disorganized

Pros

Awesome place to work and awesome work culture! The company has been able to rebound quickly by attracting lots of new inexperienced employees to replace all of the experienced employees that have recently left and have not come back CEO Patrick Parker is able to keep the company afloat, during a time of financial hardship, by playing multiple roles in the company. He is able to manage the developers, make sales, perform client demos, and do some basic development work like copying and pasting code in the application. Although the company no longer has enough experienced employees to help train the inexperienced new-hires, CEO Patrick Parker stepped up and helped me learn how to copy and paste code in the application. CEO Patrick Parker does a wonderful job maintaining an environment of spontaneity by changing employees’ assigned tasks many times throughout the day The pace is very fast, and workload extremely high, which should help the company eventually see growth. CEO Patrick Parker does a good job of always portraying the company in a positive light, by saying all demos go extremely well, not letting the company know when employees leave, and remaining vague on financials. CEO Patrick Parker keeps the atmosphere overwhelmingly positive with daily efforts to distract from the lack of growth and financial struggles for many years.

Cons

There is only one visionary CEO Patrick Parker CEO Patrick Parker consumes a large amount espresso to overcome sleep deprivation, so the Nespresso capsules sometimes run out
