Pros

Amazing ideas, the reason behind the original product was so great and the vision was shared throughout all staff. Free lunches, great office spaces and yearly offsites are great. There is also a great amount of support if you need it (usually). The CEO loves to chat with you and learn about you, and he is always open to a conversation. Enboarder also invests in people by doing leadership courses and upskilling for staff who want to move up.

Cons

After the flip from an Aussie company to a US company, the culture started to vanish. All managers in the US are remote and its not ideal for staff globally. There is a lot of change and a lot of it is just decided for teams rather than being spoken and discussed about (as it was prior to the flip) and ELT can't seem to agree on much and it flows down into individual contributors in a negative way. The HR team is entirely based in the US and doesn't know (and doesn't seem to want to know) local laws, that's not much help when things pop up outside the US. It's a shame.

We also love how open and approachable Brent is as a CEO, it’s a unique experience that most companies don’t get to enjoy. The decision to relocate the headquarters to Austin was not a decision that was made lightly, it makes sense for the business and the direction we’re going. Regardless of our HQ, Enboarder has and will always continue to invest in our local teams to ensure they have proper leadership, coverage, and opportunities for their own growth and development.
