      Poor compensation for pre-clinical/pre-ipo company

      Pros

      Not really anything that stands out as compared to other companies I have worked for.

      Cons

      Poor compensation, extreme lack of equity distribution to employees. Literally giving out options packages that are worth basically nothing and salary does not make of for it. Poor company direction. Unlikely to succeed. I would suggest looking elsewhere, you would expect a company of this size and stage to make up for it's short comings with an options package that can give you a chance at profiting from the low probability of success, but they fail to do so at every chance and the leadership team is completely oblivious to both the issue with compensation and the science, work, and strategy that is necessary to make the company a success.

      Pros

      Decent bonus. Technology has potential.

      Cons

      Too many: non-supportive management. Lack of direction on objectives and goals. Very siloed environment and lack of accountability. Some groups carry their weight and others clearly do not, so work-life balance is either great or absolutely terrible. Pay is clearly not close to the market rate for job skills and experience and it's very difficult to recruit talent the end results are less talented skilled people are hired, then less talented managers hire less talented and skilled people.

      Pros

      Friendly, causal, and supportive work environment. Smart, helpful co-workers. Generally, everyone’s contributions are valued. The science is interesting and varied, and very collaborative. The bosses are approachable. I trust and respect their decisions, and the overall direction of the company. Lots of snacks.

      Cons

      Periodic tight deadlines, and fast turnaround is expected, though hard work is usually acknowledged and appreciated.
