Pretty good environment

Pros

Mostly friendly coworkers, management treats you well for the most part. Leadership tries to think big. You get to be a part of building things. Some cool technology to play with.

Cons

Must be comfortable with a slightly smelly warehouse. If you want a fancy cushy office, this isn't the place for you. A few rotten eggs are allowed to bully people. Limited advancement opportunities. Too much turnover in middle management.

Take the good with the bad

Pros

Generally everyone I work with are all around great people with huge talent and industry knowledge. Nice location, Naugatuck is a nice little town and easy to get to. Good people.

Cons

No room to grow/get promoted; hard to make effective change with employees who have been there 25+ years (do not like change); overall company is set in its ways; individual departments are great at team work but not a lot of overall company team spirit or seamless cooperation which can sometimes cause a lot of unnecessary stress and tension.

OK company

Pros

It's easy to learn a lot and get experience in new areas

Cons

There feels like a sharp divide between management and staff that I've not encountered at other companies- I would have been interested in knowing big picture company goals and initiatives, but very little communication occurred. They also have a ridiculous policy that when being promoted you have to be in that role for 1 year before receiving the appropriate pay increase for it. (And don't even tell you what the increase will be!)
