Pros

This company is growing fast, but it has an amazingly warm and open culture. There is regular, in-person communication with managers and mentors; collaborative, judgement-free code reviews; tech talks; study groups and so much more.

Cons

Absolutely no regularly scheduled remote work - jobs are 100% in-office. This company has ICE and CBP as some of their top clients; if you work here you will be directly supporting these organizations.

We're glad that you value our various collaborative efforts like code reviews, mentorships, tech talks, study groups, book club, etc… Due to our high collaborative environment and our pair programming, we feel strongly about working directly from the office. We find that being physically present is crucial to our collaborative environment. Additionally, we provide training management solutions to our first responders and public safety clientele. Our clientele represent many organizations at the private, state, and federal level. It is our mission to deliver the best training management system to these organizations. We value all of our employees and work hard to maintain a work culture that evokes trust, collaboration, flexibility, and focus. We're pleased that you found the work environment to be friendly and secure as those are just some of our many goals. Reflecting on your comment regarding unproductive meetings and daily stand ups, we do realize our Agile process is much different than a traditional business environment. Daily stand ups are a strategic part of an Agile process which promotes collaborative work. These brief meetings provide teams opportunities to discuss current ongoing projects that promote follow up discussions amongst teams to aid in completion of projects. Here at Envisage we value all of our employees and understand as humans we all have areas where we can grow, including our management team. Best place I have ever worked

I have worked for Envisage for less than a year, but will go on record as stating it is the best career choice I have ever made. I left a company where I had great job security, excellent benefits, and significant tenure to take the job at Envisage, and though that was a risk, I have never looked back. The culture, co-workers, management, processes, freedom to learn and make creative choices and contributions--all phenomenal, without a single exception. The group interview, without question, was the single toughest interview I have ever had as you are asked all manner of seemingly unrelated questions by long-tenured (but not all management) employees from different departments. Once you work there for awhile, and understand the culture, the interview questions make sense. This company hires talented and intelligent employees who value honesty, integrity, and personal accountability above all else and I am so proud that they chose me to be a part of it all.
