Cons

Poor chaotic ‘knee jerk’ leadership with appointment of new CEO Bullying behaviour by senior leaders and lawyers which is rewarded by Commissioners CEO who has no awareness of the impact of her behaviour on others No views other than those of lawyers valued nor listened to Culture of micromanagement which is disempowering causing decision making paralysis with everything referred up

Pros

Good size organisation, not so big you get lost in it. Clear line of sight and access to independent decision makers (Commissioners). Work plan is predictable and not reactive like in government departments

Cons

Variety of work can be a bit limited.

Pros

Meaningful work to improve society and protect consumers Varied work and exposure across the business Great support for team member learning & development, both through internal and external opportunities

Cons

Questionable choice of skills prioritised at the manager level and above, leading to inefficiency Long hours often required to address inefficiency from above
