Paid for courses to improve skills. Get to wear many hats, even in a junior role. Part of all company conversations. Get to touch every stage of development and deployment.
Cons
CEO is a bit of a hothead that tends to rely on intimidation to get the job done, even when dealing with senior staff. Has unrealistic expectations of his employees, especially as there is not a clear chain of command or division of labour. Everything done on a bit of a shoestring budget. Too much focus on marketing and gathering support for applications that are clearly dated and need more work before going out. Inflexible when considering new ideas... even fonts...
