Pros
There are some really great people here and the pay is solid.
Cons
So many annoying things to say about this place. 1) The leadership team is completely out of touch. They don’t have any real clue what the employees are dealing with and yet they continue to act like they have all the answers. There’s a lot of “back in my day” which doesn’t help at all and it’s condescending. There are only a couple people in management positions that seem to like…ya know…managing people. Everyone else is just climbing the ladder. 2) incredibly corporate. There are constantly 7 number one priorities. And leadership will constantly remind you of that, and just when you have everything balanced, they will change 5 of the 7 priorities you’re supposed to keep track of. 3) zero faith in employees. There’s no trust for people to do their jobs. And if anybody does something a different way than has been laid out, it’s a slap on the wrist. They are constantly telling you to be authentic and then when you are, you get talked to about your “professionalism” or “executive presence”. 4) Micromanagement here is the worst I’ve ever seen. They literally tell you line by line how to write your emails and then they make you send them copies of said email to make sure you did it their way. I described it to a friend of mine like this. They ask you to dig a 10 foot trench in 2 hours. So you dig a 12 foot trench in 1.5 hours just to be safe and then they say “well we were watching you and you did a great job, but you dug from one need to the other and we would prefer you start in the middle and dig 5 feet in both directions”. It’s insanity. 5) Phony. There are a lot of people here that are genuinely nice good people. But unfortunately there are some very powerful people that couldn’t be more toxic and fake. The VP Of Global Communities is a good example of this, terrible leader and a rude individual. 6) Back to the office initiative. The leadership team is scratching and clawing to get people back to the office and they can’t even give a solid reason why. “Collaboration” or “culture” well, if we can’t have collaboration or culture without being in the office, why do we host virtual events? Why do we call people to invite them to summits? Why do we send emails? If being in person is the only way to effectively do our jobs, nobody should be doing anything virtually ever again.
