Pros

Some fun clients, but they aren't always shared.

Cons

What a joke. CTO goes around to each of the team’s standups and talks about how the dev work should go. He had connection issues, but because of lack of leadership, the stability of our product doesn’t seem to matter to our managers. Leadersip doesn’t believe there’s a problem. This company is set up to fail. There are a couple of people in leadership who try and point out issues, but if someone higher up doesn’t like them, we’re told to ignore them and to do things behind people’s backs. Then we are told by our CTO that we shouldn’t work longer hours, but if someone takes a vacation day or holiday, they are contacted repeatedly. We have multiple midnight releases a week and every weekend, which the CTO insists on, (so we can’t have a personal life) where a number of people on different teams are expected to be on call. We get slack, text, and email messages at all hours of the night. Leadership has to work early or late because the CTO doesn’t respect other people’s time. Everything seems to be a priority and people are pushed over and over. Some leaders blame other teams for work we mess up and the CTO goes along with it.

Pros

I can't think of any other than remote work. Most of the underlings are good to work with.

Cons

The CTO appears to have a huge ego but it is really just insecurities. He really doesn't know what he is doing and ends up bringing others down with him. I have never worked with someone as inept as he is. Some of the coworkers are toxic and backstabbing. If you work for this company watch your back! Some of the staff spend a lot of time trying to destroy you and management does nothing to stop it. Even the CTO participates in this behavior. The product itself lacks a lot of functionality that competitors have. The product's price is way more than the competition.

Toxic Company could have been something once upon a time

Pros

Great benefits, PTO, fake family setting (you know the ones who smile in your face while stabbing you in the back)

Cons

Taken over by investors of course. Original C-levels could not lead and were more star struck than actually caring about the clients. Abusive employees who were allowed to get away poor behavior constantly. Who when they did not get their way would demand who ever was the target of the day/week/month be fired. Don’t you dare speak bad of them or you may get axed. No real vision for the clients needs only $$ signs and lying to clients about constant stability issues. Clients call it Evercrash, Nevercast, among other names for a reason. Got rid of a lot great employees while keeping the all high level toxic ones (you know who you are). Some decent employee’s remain (support and tech) who I hope are looking elsewhere where they can be appreciated.
