Pros

Small finance-based product firm, In India, there is a nice working environment, good team collaboration, and a great team member. On-time and attractive salary, good leave policies, flexibility, and excellent and varied learning opportunities. India team members are really supportive and are working hard to help the company and team to grow. Few people have been with this company for 7-8 years. The director is too brilliant and visionary; he is always there for assistance and speak to everyone.

Cons

Layoff due to excessive and unnecessary hiring. The UK Team is simply using the company's funds without producing any profit. Few people are doing nothing except sitting on the management team. You won't believe there are 8 persons in management/leadership of a total of 20 workers on the product team. By enacting unnecessary regulations, processes, and misleading perceptions, the leadership team creates bottleneck conditions for India team that generates profits. Few examples, The product is not performing as intended; blame the India team. Inability to meet targets, delegate to India team If the process isn't working, adopt it in the India team and blame them for not following it. In order to modify policies and minimise perks, This must be enforced to India team. Costs have risen, Lets layoff members of the India team. (They layed off few employees who had been with the firm for 4-5 years.) Few roles are filled in the UK Team owing to demands from management/leadership that are not necessary. HR, designers, researchers, and so forth. This results in unnecessary employment and, eventually, layoffs. The majority of income is generated by the India team, who has been working really hard to satisfy expectations and goals. However, all the credit taken by the so-called Leadership team. The India squad is performing like a puppet and doing all that is said to them. If you join this firm in India, exercise caution. You will receive assistance from India team members and the Director, but you will face numerous mental harassment, delegated work from the UK, daily stress of layoff, and rules from leadership. The policies are subject to change at any time. Layoffs can occur at any time. There is no job security.

Thanks for your detailed feedback. We’re really sorry about some of the experiences you’ve described of working with us. We try hard to make this a great place to work but of course, we can’t get it right all the time. We’re glad you enjoyed working with the team in India – we enjoy working with everyone here, and couldn’t value the team across the whole business more if we tried (they’re pretty magnificent – we’re really glad you agree!) Across the business we’ve sadly had to say goodbye to a few colleagues in the last 12 months, and it’s been incredibly hard for everyone involved for that to happen. In India in particular, we’ve had only one person leave the business since the pandemic because our needs had changed, and we’ve hired several more - meaning our headcount has actually increased in the India team. So we’re confident we’re definitely not targeting any team based on geography in the way you’ve described here. As the business grows and changes it’s really important that we build the structures and tools we’ll need to be successful going forward. By the very nature of our work in financial services, that’s going to include quite a lot of rules and defined ways of doing things, as it rightly should. We’re proud of the things we’ve build in recent years to help us be sure we’re being fair, doing the very best thing for our customers, and managing the risks in our business. We totally understand that some of us can find those changes hard work and like to work in a more freeform way, and this industry definitely isn’t for everyone. I’d love to carry on this conversation if you’d like to contact me – you can find me on bethorford@everythingfinancial.co.uk

Pros

Very invested in the development and progression of their employees, and give them the space and guidance to gain experience and knowledge in new areas Always open to hear ideas and feedback from their employees - regardless of their position. Great at adapting their approach to business to fit in with industry/wider changes. You get out what you put in, so your efforts do not go unnoticed as I've experienced with other employers previously. Excited about the way the company is growing and developing and glad to be a part of it!

Cons

Can sometimes feel a little cut off from some parts of the company due to varying roles that never cross paths, but it's something that's being worked on to give more of a 'community' feel - especially with the home workers and the Indian Office Team.
