Pros

The oppty to work directly with incredible founders and volunteers.

Cons

The leadership, ethics and structure of the organization is corrupt, offensive and ineffective. It has been years since I worked here but I still look back at this chapter of my career with disgust. Rory should not be the leader of anything.

The most toxic work environment you could imagine

Pros

The portfolio companies & connections

Cons

The most toxic, abusive, anxiety ridden work environment I have ever worked in. Rory Moore the CEO is a narcissistic, misogynistic, racist, who beats every one down to build himself up. He talks badly about every employee behind their back and will also insult you directly to your face. You will never feel valued and will always be threatened to have your job taken away from you at any moment. The other senior staff are unsupportive and when told that there is bullying in the work place, will turn a blind eye. They also contribute to the bullying through aggressive outburst and the use of threatening language. I honestly don’t know how any of these big name sponsors with great reputations want to be associated with anything Rory Moore has to do with. No wonder the sponsors are dropping like flies. If you are considering working here, please take a look at all of these reviews and take every word in to consideration. I ignored them and am worse off for it.

Hostile work environment

Pros

Many of the startups that I worked with were phenomenal and doing work that will change our world in a positive way.

Cons

The management of EvoNexus was horrific. They were verbally abusive which caused anxiety for all employees, resulting in high turnover and low morale. Zero work-life balance, expected to be tied to your mobile phone (and answer while in the restroom), long work days of 14-16+ hours. At the time I was there, minimum wage and overtime pay were not being upheld.
