Direct manager was very supportive and motivating Great incentives with commission, quarterly awards to aim for, competitions, regular social events, end of year holiday for best performers Hard work is regularly rewarded/recognised Training was good Event season is fun Somewhat flexible working hours

Cons

Often work long hours On call can be hard, on your weekend off and having to arrange replacements for people who have called in sick Work life balance wasn't great - summer season, lots of burn out

Pros

You tell them when you are available a week in advance, the venues they serve are in the London area which worked for me

Cons

Sorry to say but in my experience the way that staff at evolve communicate with you is terribly unprofessional, it is such a shame but they were quite sarcastic and used personal insults and put downs. At the induction a group of us were told that we'd be working in top hotels, in reality we were stewarding at banquets, lifting and carrying heavy tables and chairs you will be asked to sign a disclaimer so that if you are injured in doing the heavy lifting they are not responsible. There were no secure lockers at several of the venues I worked at and one lady I worked with had her purse stolen from one of the venues. At another venue we were told by the venue Manager after a 10 hour shift that we were expected to stay later and if we didn't we wouldn't get paid for the whole shift. Complaints to Evolve about our treatment on jobs was met with suspicion and disbelief it was automatically their view is that we were all liars and several emails with personal insults followed. There are a billion and 1 hospitality agencies in London the market is completely saturated with them so I decided that there was really no need to continue with them.

Pros

What a joke! Very unfortunate they treat staff like slaves

Cons

This company is possibly the worst catering company out there other then the one in Putney. They treat their staff like absolute rubbish! The supervisors their as rude and so are the advisors, they are only nice to the clients because they want business from them behind closed doors they are very rude and treat their staff with no respect. This company needs investigating! I don't know why hotels can't just hire people the old fashioned way instead of using these companies that just abuse their staff with over working them and making some young people work over 48hours by influencing them to sign a over 48 contact. Please investigate them.
