Boys club (Experian Australia)

Pros

Pay is ok, targets unreasonable

Cons

If you want to succeed you'll need to be part of the boys club. Regardless of your performance, you'll be overlooked unless you're willing to "fit in". Management are a group of mates who have little understanding of how to run a business.

Experian Response

Thank you for your feedback. We’re a passionate people first organisation, focused on building a high performance environment and a fantastic culture (Experian Australia was recently recognised externally as a Great Place to Work and attained Top Employer accreditation). I’m sorry to hear that this doesn’t seem to reflect your experience and that we can’t now improve things for you, something my team and I would have been eager and able to do when you were part of the Experian family. If you’d like to provide more context then please feel free to reach out, I’d be interested in understanding more. HR Director Australia & New Zealand

Pros

Worked for Experian (Melbourne) for many years. Most staff are good to work with.

Cons

It used to be a great place to work for. Not anymore. It is not just my opinion. People vote with their feet - very high turn-over rate. Nobody of PMs worked longer than a year. One person (out of 12) leaves Delivery every 3 months (average). New delivery manager has no sense of decency. Swearing, deception... That is why Experian is constantly looking for people. Do not expect any support from HR. Would not recommend this place to a friend.

Pros

Promote work hard play hard culture. Pay is award standard and employees have access to additional benefits, health and financial.

Cons

Dysfunctional knowledge Silos across organisation. No clear direction or leadership from Mid Managers, unrealistic product and pricing models. Focus to much on competitor behaviour and not on customer business. Big Brother Management is worse than a foreign call centre and all Sales KPI's are geared in favour of the company short term. Experian promote rivalry and competition within their work groups.
