Pros

Salary. That is literally it.

Cons

FAM Brands will aggressively recruit you with an amazing salary. But once you sign the dotted line, you don't exist. After about a month and a half, I experienced a lack of the following: Onboarding Training and direction Communication Transparency Positive feedback and encouragement Organization Leadership Honesty Support Trust I worked with some talented, kind folks. But overall, managers seemed beyond reproach. Work was oppressively siloed, and there was zero collaboration. Processes were often nonexistent between cross-functional teams. Very few views mattered, and usually it was just one. Gaslighting, passive aggressiveness, and micromanaging were the norm. To be clear and upfront, it ultimately wasn't the right job for me. Facing no support and encouragement, I often wondered why I was even there in the first place; I was set up for failure. I was also talked about negatively behind my back to my coworkers by a "superior" of all people. That didn't turn the team against me, though. They felt my pain. Furthermore, my manager was impossible to get a hold of. But when I did, they were virtually impossible to please, arbitrarily nitpicky, and sometimes even complained about the changes THEY made and gave to me. The poor reviews here are 100% true to what I experienced. So don't just take it from me. I had such high hopes working at FAM Brands. I was beyond disappointed.

Pros

Compensation, yoga classes and food trucks. The new VP of Marketing is trying to change the culture.

Cons

No structure, high turnover rate, bad morale, no communication. Managers don't like each other; so employees will get conflicting instructions. The joke around the office is that everyone leaves after a year. Working in other departments may be different; but the creative/marketing needs help.

Pros

You meet some good people that really just want to do their job.

Cons

No training, micromanaging on all aspects of the job. No room for innovation or ideas. Very qualified people have come and gone due to lack of structure. They will make this place look like rainbows and butterflies but once you sign on, the curtain drops. Overall, company does not value loyalty. Leadership team is non existent only when it comes time to “act” like a leader. HR does not care one bit about employees only those who pay HIM. They have fired people for personal reasons rather than being professionals and targeting the main people chasing problems, management. Management is very immature with the gossip around the office. Rather than get to the core of the problem they punish those who have complaints. If more than 4 people complain about their manager, it doesn’t mean you retaliate against the employee. Leadership is very out of touch with how their company is being run. If you have offers elsewhere, take it. This “FAM”ily is not it. Benefits are not that great. Parking sucks. Overall hostile work environment.
