Toxic work environment

Pros

Working remotely is a pro.

Cons

The reviews that mention that this agency is a toxic work environment are very true!! I thought this would be a different agency work culture but it is toxic like how agencies are known to be. There is no formal training when you start and you get flagged for not asking for more work when you have down time. If you like working long hours and not getting paid enough then join this company.

Pros

There are some really nice people, time off is unlimited (and people use it), doesn’t feel like you need to be chained to your computer on slower days, some exciting brands/projects

Cons

Tons of weak employees that do not work consistently (calling out nonstop) or use an excessive about of time off that places extra work on their peers, management is largely incompetent or terrible at people skills (people are given direct reports with no previous experience or little professional experience themselves), very little emphasis on career development for junior/lower level staff, higher ups hoard any exciting work and do not offer any visibility to more junior team members for training purposes, a lot of people are burnt out and miserable, higher ups are allowed to be bullies which is driving away new/young talent, not very diverse staff or perspectives, HR complaints about team members go nowhere (e.g. someone went from being on a PIP to a promotion within the same year), promotions are a joke

Pros

The PTO policy is great if your manager allows you the flexibility that should come with unlimited PTO. There is a lot of opportunities to move up within the company if you speak up and express interest in doing so Remote working has been a solidified permanent policy

Cons

Pay is below average for the industry The IP and Account management teams grossly under value the creatives at this agency. They expect them to work late nights to make up for their impossible timeline expectations and refuse to accept fault. This is not exclusive to one brand or project it is an agency wide issue. The IP/Account team are constantly excluding creatives in important decision making calls and then expecting them to save the day when things go awry
