Pros

People are friendly enough and quite hardworking. Most people are trying their best. You'll make some friends here and there and learn a lot if this is early in your career Some opportunities for charity work or group activities The showroom is maintained well and the decor and festive products will bring waves of joy to your day, which is important because of the upcoming cons.

Cons

Management will be nice and friendly at first but as they get more comfortable with you, they will over work you and will be borderline abusive. It is extremely normal to get yelled at, get lectured at or have all your mistakes pointed out, even if you have already acknowledged them yourself. The owner has only ever worked at the company, so they are not aware of how employees want to be treated in the U.S. Perks and benefits are practically non-existent and employees are inappropriately asked to work unpaid overtime, even if they are not at fault for work being behind. Management wants to get into e-commerce and digital sales, but doesn't see the value in investing in employees that focus solely on social media, web design, etc. Instead, these tasks will get lumped into other people's workloads. Similarly, the company will gaslight you into believing that departments should learn how to do each other's jobs. For example, if you are in accounting, don't be surprised if you're asked to take over some of marketing's responsibilities if they are out sick. The location is not ideal if you like to be in a central hub. The area is difficult to get into and you'll have to bring your lunch every single day. If you are unable to, you'll likely not have any access to food since there aren't any stores in a safe walking distance and there are no vending machines or complimentary snacks aside from coffee and water. (Noted above that perks and benefits aren't really there). Any occasional free food from catering becomes a big photo opportunity for the company to promote how "generous" they are. Environment is borderline cult-ish, there is a company song management will randomly have you sing and company logos plastered on the wall with positive affirmations but this feels strange against the miserable environment.

Pros

They have a Keurig in the kitchen.

Cons

Atrocious company culture. Unless you’re a “favorite,” you're garbage, and they treat you as such. Just incredibly rude, incredibly condescending, and terribly pompous. They will yell at you like a child in front of the entire office. Pathetic "training." You'll learn nothing here and ascend nowhere.
