Pros
An exciting company to work for, with great ambitions. They have the resources and platform to make a big difference to the arts sector in the UK .
Cons
There is a big gulf between the highest paid members of staff and the least. Junior staff are underpaid and undervalued. For a organisation that is outwardly progressive, they should put their money where their mouth is and value their staff more. For an industry leader, FI has the opportunity to affect real sector-wide change, championing better pay and solid routes of progression for workers in the arts. Instead, they perpetuate the problem, accepting difficult working conditions, undervaluing their staff and leaving routes of progression for a privileged minority who can afford to live on a low salary and take voluntary work to gain the experience.
