Pros

Fun working with families, great experience working on all kinds of technical issues, cool bonus opportunities.

Cons

Some senior-level/regional managers expect GMs to sink 60-70 hours a week into the location with no additional compensation. Some micromanagement from higher-ups.

Pros

It was close to where I lived.

Cons

Awful management. Unreasonable expectations. No benefits. Constant lying. At will employment. The first manager quit because he got into a huge argument and is replaced by someone who got the position solely through nepotism. Most unprofessional and horrible person I've worked with. Is constantly late, constantly yells screams curses, has completely unrealistic expectations of what workers can do to perform, has clear biases towards various employees who are objectively not as good at their job, cuts hours without confrontation. One time the manager just plain forgot she had to go into work on a Saturday and arrived 2 hours late and pretended like nothing was wrong with it. Another time, she misread the schedule that she wrote personally and wasted 2 attendent's time to come into the office and explain to her why she messed up and why I had to cover her mess up only to have my hours cut. There is no reason to work hard or even work here. They'll cut your hours to the point they're just telling you to leave. This place has no opportunity. Telling you to believe there's any career opportunity here when there's constant overtime for salary employees and that this company is a 100 million dollar company is just trying to believe in trickle down economics. Also have fun trying to sell completely rigged and overpriced arcade games to parents with kids who will cry and scream when they clearly lose as everything is designed to rip parents off as much as possible. How pathetic. This actually should be considered gambling and be illegal.

Pros

The people at family entertainment group, or FEG as we call it, reward hard work and genuinely care about your future with the company. If there is something you want to do, let them know and they're going to do all they can to try and help you succeed if it benefits the company as well.

Cons

In certain situations, it's difficult to move up. If you are adverse to moving and all the positions in your area are taken, you have to sort of wait it out.
