We’re very sorry to hear you feel this way about your experience at FarApp. We know we’re not perfect by any means and still have a lot to improve, but we certainly try our best. Work-life balance is hard, we know it because we’ve lived it. The co-founders put 80+ hour weeks in for years trying to start this company. We are still a growing organization with a lot of customer demands and big competitors; at times it's been a struggle. We know our people work hard too, so we’ve always tried to be as accommodating as possible. To that end, we have all our employees work at least 2 days a week remote. Anyone that has asked for another day here and there has never been denied. We’ve let people work on travel in lieu of taking vacation days (when requested) and have had an unlimited sick policy since our first hire. Considering a majority of our employees work ~45 hours/week, we hope that’s a fair trade off. We’re still trying though; we’ve been hiring aggressively to help alleviate workloads and create a better balance as well as growth opportunities. Speaking of growth, career growth is pretty strange in a small company. Titles don’t mean as much when you know everyone in the whole operation. Again, we try, with about half of our solutions team getting promotions with raises in the last year or so. We also did profit-sharing bonuses this year and have always provided bi-annual, performance-based raises. I know that our counterpoints above don’t amount to everything. Sincerely, we’re sorry you have had a bad experience here and it’s never our intention to make that anyone’s reality. We know our job can be complex, and both the volume of work and customers can be challenging. Regardless of the specifics of why you feel this way, we bear some of that responsibility and hope we can do better by you and others in the future. We honestly try and do our best to create a good atmosphere and provide salary/benefits to those that put in their best efforts. If you want to talk about any of this in a non-anonymous forum, swing by.

Pros

The team here is so down to earth, smart and helpful. Everyone works very hard. There is a lot of room for growth and always something new to learn. Definitely keeps me on my toes. The two work-from-home days are a huge plus.

Cons

No particular cons, just the usual growing pains- as expected for a successful company headed in the right direction.

Pros

Lots of flexibility in terms of what projects you get to work on and the direction you want to go within the company. Great for professional growth because you can take on projects that are in line with your long term career goals. The core work in and of itself is very interesting and quite challenging so you're never bored. The culture is probably best described as work hard play hard. Generally a light and fun atmosphere in the office but people get their work done. Amazing team to work with.

Cons

No major cons since I've been at FarApp.
